It's a boy!

We had our big US on Wednesday. Our 9th anniversary. What a great anniversary gift. We found out we are having a very healthy (kicking his mommy as I type) baby boy. To say Jakob is thrilled is an understatement. He was a very patient little boy through the whole US, asking the tech every few often where the baby's penis is.......the tech smiled and even printed him his own picture of his little brother. We started out looking at his brain, and he explained the various componants of that. What part was used to learn/do what in life. He went on to show the areas in and around the stomach and then the arms, hands and fingers, Jakob says ok, but where's the penis? shows us the legs, feet and toes and then ask if we are in a rush to find out the sex of the baby I said yes, definitely. He says ok lets look at a few other areas then. My mom says, but today is their 9th anniversary!! After congratulating us, he said ok, lets find out what you are having. Here is the the tortise shell and here is the penis. It's a boy...........Jakob was sitting on Daddy's lap, I reached back and gave him 5 and he pumps his fist............YES!!! It was a very happy moment...............I cried, my mom cried, even Paul cried.

I had my monthly appointment right before the US. I had gained about 2 pounds (134.6), my blood pressure was good, I had a little glucose in my urine, but that was from drinking a mellow yellow right before the appointment. Baby's heartrate was 142 and all is good with the world.
